Genesis edition: introducing a newsletter all about bitcoin

Hello Friends!

Whether I sent you a DM, or you stumbled across my twitter, thank you so much for taking the time to be here.

In this post I explain why I am starting a newsletter about bitcoin, why it might be of interest to you, and why you should subscribe for future editions.

Why I am starting a newsletter about bitcoin.

The journey Bitcoin has been on since my first purchase in 2015 is a story for another time, as is my specific experience with it, but what’s important to convey:

Bitcoin is the most important subject I’ve ever studied.

This realisation has spurred me on to look for additional ways of self-education, alongside my website bitcoinwithjake.com, on which I curate and recommend Bitcoin content.

So I confess there is some self-interest at play here, but in the name of transparency, here are my reasons for starting this newsletter:

  1. Deepen knowledge

  2. Improve writing

  3. Make friends

Note - not necessarily in that order!

Why it might be of interest to you.

Like it or not, interested or not, in fact even if you live under a rock……

Bitcoin is going to change the world as we know it.

The good news is that there is so much more to the subject than meets the eye, with multiple domains congruent within, taking one deep into the essence of being human.

A Bitcoin discussion can cover:

  • Economics

  • Entrepreneurship

  • History

  • Human rights

  • Mental health

  • Philosophy

  • Politics

  • Science

  • Sustainability

  • Technology

So in my mind taking an interest in Bitcoin today is not only a wonderful opportunity to front-run the herd, but also likely to resonate with an existing passion of yours, as close to a win-win you might find.
